Beatrice Allegranti Dance Theatre produces international and politically progressive work across several mediums: performance, participation and publications. Under the artistic direction of Beatrice Allegranti, a choreographer and UKCP registered dance movement psychotherapist, the multi-disciplinary strands of the company work tackles burgeoning and interrelated social and environmental issues of loss, health, migration and ‘othering’ — through ethical and progressive dance practice. The company works in collaboration with six professional dancers and actors, a composer, musician, a registered nurse and ten project partners across the arts, health and science sectors. Since 2016, the London-based company established Arts Council England and Public Health-funded bespoke Moving Kinship Hubs at Alexandra Palace and Merton Arts Space for people living with young onset dementia and their family carers. Directly inspired by this work, the company created the dance theatre production I’ve Lost You Only To Discover That I Have Gone Missing. The production will premier in Surrey in the Autumn of 2021.
